Evergreen trees are unique. When other trees shed their leaves, conserve energy, and become dormant, evergreen trees thrive and remain vibrant even in the coldest winter.
As someone who has traveled through many difficult and wonderful seasons of life, I understand the complexity of change and growth. I was once an aspiring teacher turned military serviceman. Upon getting out of the Army, I struggled to adapt to the civilian corporate world while simultaneously confronting my own addiction. All while trying to balance the competing needs of being a good husband and father. I recognized my own passion for helping others in the midst of my own recovery, and God called me to pursue that as a career. I have been working with individuals and couples to grow and heal through their difficult seasons since 2020.
My hope for every client is to see them grow and adapt to thrive even amongst the worst of life's conditions rather than wither. I counsel from an attachment theory view and work with clients to identify their attachment styles and inner narratives which drive the distress they are feeling or the behaviors they wish to change, so that no matter the harshness of the season, they are able to adapt and stand tall. As a Christian, I understand the profound impact that faith has on personal growth, change, and healing, and I am comfortable incorporating a client's beliefs into our work together. But I welcome those from any religious / not religious background. I approach each client's individual goals for change with a holistic view to help facilitate increased relational connection to self, family, community, and faith.
